Sustainability Policy

The Harrison Public Library is committed to consistently reducing its environmental footprint and being a thoughtful steward of the resources our community depends upon.

The Library Trustees, Administration and Staff strive to represent this goal at all levels of our organization and every aspect of our operations. This is enacted in the adoption of this Sustainability Policy, which emphasizes employing environmentally sound, economically feasible practices, including the application of our Sustainable Purchasing Policy.

In our commitment to sustainability, we will also continue to strive to be an educational resource for our patrons regarding environmentally conscientious practices which may also be demonstrated in our programming and collections.
