Get started by creating an account with hoopla from your computer or download the hoopla app from the  App Store or Google Play on your mobile device.

To create an account, tap Sign up in the app or click Get Started on your computer and follow the instructions.

Loan Periods

Westchester Library System responded to closures during the COVID pandemic by doubling the number of available monthly checkouts on Hoopla. Due to rising costs, effective November 1, 2025 the number of monthly checkouts will return to five titles per month.

You may borrow 5 titles per month (e-book, audiobook, music album, movie, TV episode). E-books and audiobooks can be borrowed for 21 days. Music albums can be borrowed for 7 days. Movies and TV episodes can be borrowed for 3 days.

hoopla for Kids

Go to settings in the upper right corner of the hoopla app to enable kids mode, the place where parents and kids alike will be able to discover great hoopla kids’ content. Kids can easily find their favorite characters, books, and songs and parents can feel confident letting their children explore hoopla on their own.
