OverDrive E-Books & Audiobooks

Borrow e-books and audiobooks from your library with your library card number and PIN. Borrow books for 14 days. They return automatically and there are no late fees.

Get Started

Apple, Android, NOOK Tablet, & Windows 10

Download the Libby app from the  Apple App Store Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store. When prompted to add a library, search for Harrison Public Library then enter your library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number).

Kindle Fire Tablet

Download the OverDrive app from the Amazon App Store. Sign up with your library card number and PIN. Search for the Harrison Public Library when prompted to add a library, then sign in to the catalog one more time (upper-right corner) with your library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number). When you borrow a book, select Download to read the book in the OverDrive app (if you prefer to add it to your Kindle library, select Read now with kindle).

Kindle E-Reader, Paperwhite, Voyage, & Oasis

Visit the OverDrive website on your computer or mobile device. Sign in (upper-right corner) with your library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number). When you borrow a book, select Read Now in Kindle. You will be redirected to Amazon’s website. Click Get Library Book (right side). You may be prompted to sign in to Amazon with your Amazon ID (usually an email address) and Amazon password. The next time your Kindle connects to Wi-Fi (doesn’t work on Amazon 3G) the book will download automatically.

Reading on Your Computer

Visit the OverDrive website and sign in (upper-right corner) with your library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number). When you borrow a book, select Read in Browser to read titles. You can bookmark what you are reading for easy access to that title later.

NOOK E-Reader, GlowLight

Note: You don’t need Adobe Digital Editions for your GlowLight Plus (instructions).

If you don’t have an Adobe ID you can get one on Adobe’s website.  Install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer. If you aren’t prompted to authorize Adobe Digital Editions the first time go to Help > Authorize Computer. Enter your Adobe ID and password and click Authorize. Connect your NOOK to your computer with its USB cable. Visit the OverDrive website and sign in (upper-right corner) with your library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number). When you borrow a book, click Download. Your book should be added to Adobe Digital Editions automatically. Open Library View in Adobe Digital Editions and your NOOK should appear on the left under Devices. Drag and drop the e-book to your NOOK (how to drag and drop).
