Spring is here, but it’s still cold outside! What’s the best way to keep yourself warm and comfy?
For me, there is nothing better than bundling up with my favorite knitted scarf, my knitting project, and a good book to read!
This is a great time to learn something new, such as the art of knitting or crocheting. Do you know how to knit or crochet? If not, West Harrison Branch has a wonderful program called “Knitting with Mariella” every Wednesday.
In this program, you can learn basic knitting stitches to create simple knitting projects. Knitting needles and crochet hooks are also available to check out for your convenience.
While learning how to knit, you will immerse yourself in the world of colors, learn about different types of textile fibers, knit structure, and how to read patterns.
Check out our books, magazines, PressReader, eResources like University of Fashion with tutorials to learn how to knit a simple swatch or a poncho scarf!
I hope you find inspiration this month to create a project for you or your loved ones!
Happy knitting! Mariella
