Dr. John LaGattuta
President, Harrison LIONS Club
P. O. Box 346
Harrison, New York 10528

Dear Dr. LaGattuta:

As you know, on December 7, 1988, the Town Board unanimously voted to rename Station Park the Genevieve "Ma" Riis Park in Mrs. Riis's honor. This was done as a result of your letter, on behalf of the Harrison Lions Club, of October 25, 1988.

Mr. Angarano has placed me in charge of the arrangements for the eventual dedication of the Genevieve "Ma" Riis park located on Heineman Place.

I have taken the liberty of taking a photograph of Ma Riis for the placque [sic] and have also worked up some possible language for the placque [sic].

As it will take approximately 3 months to have the placque [sic] made, and because Mr. Angarano would like the formal dedication of the park to be held in conjunction with our Memorial Day Cemermonies [sic] in May, we are a little pressed for time. Therefore, I would appreciate you or your representative contacting me at your earliest convenience to discuss the above.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Norma Ponce
Conf. Secretary to the
Supervisor
