The Web Explained

HHS Students Gabriel & Aidan

The Harrison Public Library is partnering with Harrison High School students, Gabriel and Aidan, to help our community navigate an ever-changing virtual landscape.

Gabriel & Aidan

Gabriel and Aidan are Juniors at Harrison High School who both have passions for political debate, monopoly, and entrepreneurship. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Gabriel and Aidan were pressed with the same issue – how to stay connected with their grandparents.

They would have loved to simply Zoom with their family and see their grandparents’ faces like they do in-person, but unfortunately Zoom can be a foreign language to senior citizens. This experience inspired Gabriel and Aidan to teach people who have trouble using the Internet.

The friends got to work on making videos explaining day-to-day Internet activities that are essential for living in the world of COVID-19. The Web Explained website is a growing library of resources for how to navigate the internet during the pandemic and beyond.
