Services for the Homebound

The Harrison Public Library offers Homebound Services for Harrison residents who hold valid library cards and who are unable to come to one of the Library’s locations due to temporary or permanent disability. Through this program, disabled patrons may call the Library to obtain a card if they do not have one and have books, audio-books or compact discs checked out to them and delivered to their home.

HPL librarians will work closely with each patron to identify favorite authors, titles, genres or formats, choosing from the Library’s large selection of both regular and large print books, paperbacks and audio-books. Please contact the Library at 914-835-0324 if you would like to join this program or have any questions about this service. A volunteer from the Library will deliver the items that have been selected at a mutually agreeable time. The Library will contact the homebound patron to arrange for return of all loans, and a volunteer will collect the items at a mutually agreeable time.
