Welcome Back To Your Library!

We are so excited to welcome you back to our buildings. As of Monday, March 22nd the Halperin Building and the West Harrison Branch will be open by appointment for browsing and use of public computers.  In order to meet NYS requirements during the COVID-19 health crisis, the Library has made adjustments to hours of operation, visits, services, and policies.

Here is what you need to know before visiting the library:

Patrons over the age of two must wear a face mask at all times. Individuals who do not follow the rules will not be permitted into the building per Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order.

Patrons need to make a 45-minute appointment to visit the library and to use a public computer. This can be done either online, by calling the library – Halperin Building at (914) 835-0324, West Harrison Branch at (914) 948-0292 or at the door.

40 patrons can be scheduled in the Halperin Building at one time; 20 patrons can be scheduled in the West Harrison Branch at one time.

Staff is available for contactless reference and checkout service.

We will continue to offer curbside pickup. Check the curbside hours here.

In addition to making an appointment, patrons must complete a questionnaire issued by the Town/Village of Harrison for the purpose of contact tracing. The questionnaire must be filled out online when scheduling an appointment. A paper version can be completed at the door before entering for patrons who schedule appointments over the phone or walk in.
