Infinity King

Digital Art and Transformation by Gregory Bart

A king sitting on a throne, raising a hand of fire.

The Infinity King sits on his throne in a realm beyond our own. We see him glorified in his power wielding fire and emanating an infinite halo. Though stern and intense, his gaze and gesture offer us an opportunity to forge an allegiance with what he represents and be empowered.

This figure is greatly inspired by the work of Michelangelo, as are many of my other pieces. The figure was developed through close study of his work with the intention to carry some degree of the “awesomeness” of Michelangelo’s forceful style.

The patterned halo is an original design developed through careful study of the principles of Islamic sacred geometry, which can be infinitely repeated to imbue, for example, the walls of sacred architecture, as can be seen in many mosques throughout the world.
