Happy Birthday Mr. Seymour!
This article cites one of The Hills residents, Mr. Harvey Seymour, turning ninety eight in 1903. Harvey Seymour married Jane Halstead on Feb. 25 1835, and they bought land in The Hills which he farmed. His son, William Henry Seymour served in the 14th Rhode Island Heavy Artillery Regiment (11th USCT), returned to The Hills after the war, died of dysentery in March 1866, and was buried in Stony Hill Cemetery with a military marker. Harvey and Jane Seymour are also buried in Stony Hill Cemetery.
