Your contributions to the 2017 HPLF Annual Appeal were more than 50% greater than those to our inaugural 2016 effort! Since costs were essentially the same, your generosity produced a substantial increase in the funds available to support the Harrison Public Library in the coming months.
In case you were wondering, here’s where an important portion of your money goes:
Children’s programs featuring Jeffrey Friedberg, Dawny Dew, and Chloe
Craft project materials for both kids and adults at both the Halperin building and West Harrison branch
Free refreshments at many library events
Museum passes for the American Museum of Natural History, Boscobel House and Gardens, Bruce Museum, Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Cooper Hewitt, Empire Pass, the Guggenheim, Hudson River Museum, Katonah Museum of Art, Maritime Aquarium, Museum of Modern Art, Museum of the City of New York, New York Historical Society, Stamford Museum & Nature Center, Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Stone Barns Center, Storm King Art Center, Westchester Children’s Museum.

You also made a great start on funding for the new library garden. It’s in the planning stages now and there will be many opportunities for sponsorships and memorial gifts!
