Our Library – A Safe Place

June 16th, 2017

A recent note to Mayor Ron Belmont:

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you!

My daughter Audrey was in a minor accident on Friday. She was hit by a car on her way to yoga. The car only hit her bike and she is totally fine.

We teach our children to go someplace safe and call home if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable. She went to the library as her safe zone. It means so much to me that we have a place for her to go that she feels safe and protected. I think that also says a lot about our library.

I just wanted you to know how happy we are that the library is such a warm and inviting place for our community. And what a great job they are doing providing programs and safe activities for our families. And a SAFE place for kids. She is fine. Just want to recognize how great the library is.
