I'm sorry if you missed it, but this event already took place.

This virtual author event commemorating 9/11 will feature Middle Grade and Young Adult authors Nora Raleigh Baskin (Nine, Ten: A September 11 Story), Gae Polisner (The Memory of Things) and Tom Rogers (Eleven) on Tuesday, September 21 at 7 pm. It seems appropriate to host this event on September 21 -- International Day of Peace.

The entire community is invited to this special program being offered in partnership with the Mamaroneck Public Library and Tuckahoe Public Library. A Q&A will follow after the panel discussion.

About the Authors:

Nora Raleigh Baskin is the ALA Schneider Family Book Award–winning author of Anything But Typical. She was chosen as a Publishers Weekly Flying Start for her novel What Every Girl (Except Me) Knows, and has since written a number of novels for middle graders and teens, including The Truth About My Bat MitzvahThe Summer Before Boys, and Ruby on the Outside. Nora lives with her family in Connecticut. Visit her at NoraBaskin.com.

Gae Polisner is a lawyer by trade, but a writer by calling. She lives on Long Island with her husband, two sons, and a suspiciously-fictional looking dog named Charlie. When Gae isn't lawyering or writing, you can find her in a pool or the open waters off Long Island. She's still hoping that one day her wetsuit will turn her into a superhero.

Tom Rogers is a novelist and the screenwriter of numerous animated films, including The Lion King 1-1/2, Kronk's New Groove, LEGO: The Adventures of Clutch Powers, and Disney's Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings and Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. Originally from Texas, he now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and tango partner, Jennifer. Eleven is his first novel for young adults.

Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
