Keio Academy of New York is partnering with the library to bring Japanese games and cooking directly to your homes! Due to COVID-19, most of the students returned to their home countries and are now virtually volunteering their time for this community project.

This week, Ann Suzuki introduces us to the game of Hanetsuki.

A little about Ann

Hello! My name is Ann Suzuki from 11th grade and I'll be a 12th grader in September. I was born in
Tokyo, Japan and lived there for 14 years. When I was 14 years old, however, I moved to NY with
my family due to my father's work. So, I'm living in Scarsdale, NY right now. I'm so grateful for
being able to take part in this wonderful event. I hope that after watching my video, you will feel
like you want to try playing Hanetsuki with your family in Oshogatsu!
