Is there a special place you have lived or visited that you want to write about but don't know how to make the place come alive in your story?
Join our Maker-In-Residency, a humourus and soft spoken award winning writer, Thad Rutkowski, to create memorable pieces in these warm, fun, and inspiring workshops on Someone Special, Somewhere Special, Something Special, and Someday Special.
Participants will be encouraged to generate new pieces and will receive supportive, constructive feedback on their work. Whether your story is long or short, true or fictional, Thad will help you to tell it in a compelling way.
Sign up for one or all of these 90 minutes workshops scheduled on Wednesdays at 1 pm. They are:
Someone Special - Feb. 5th
Somewhere Special - Feb. 19th
Something Special - March 18th
Someday Special - April 8th.
Thad Rutkowski is a poet, a New Yrok Times essayist, and a published author of six books. He has received multiple literary awards. His works have been described as “flashes of light amid darkness” and have been compared with that of young Marcel Proust. Resides in Manhattan, he has been teaching writing skills in the Metropolitan New York area and beyond.
Thad Rutkowski’s books are: Border Crossings, Guess and Check, Violent Outbursts, Haywire, Tetched and Roughhouse.
