Kisook Suh, Textile Conservator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will be discussing the field of Textile Conservation in honor of New York Textile Month. 

Ms. Suh cares for tapestries in the Medieval Art and The Cloisters collections in the Department of Textile Conservation at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met). She will discuss the conservators’ role and the complexities of historic tapestry conservation. She will also present highlights of major medieval tapestry projects from the last four decades that reflect the changes and advancement of ethics and methodologies within the practice of textile conservation.
