Teen Influencers (Gr. 7 & up)
4 hours a school quarter, 10 hrs. Community service
We want your input! What would you like to see at the library? Come share your ideas and enjoy some goodies!
We will discuss books, programs, promotion, and the planning of upcoming events where you can earn more hours!
In December, we will take a trip to Barnes & Noble to purchase books based on your suggestions!
First meeting: Wednesday, September 20 at 6pm (hybrid)
STEM Buddies (Gr. 9-12)
10 hours a school quarter, 25 hrs. Community service
Teach kids, ages 7 and up, new concepts through STEM games. Before the program starts, we will have an instructional meeting where you can familiarize yourself with the games before playing with the kids.
Reading Buddies (Gr. 9-12)
10 hours a school quarter, 20 hrs Community Service for one, 40 for both
Read to kids and help them practice their reading!
Board Games/Chess Helpers
10 hours a school quarter, 20 hrs Community Service for one, 40 for both
Help Kenji teach kids (Grades 3-6) different board games on Tuesdays and chess on Thursdays!
Kindness League (Gr. 6-7)
4 hours a school quarter, 10 hrs. Community Service
Show the wider community that you care by making small gifts of gratitude and for those in need.
First Program: Friday September 22, 2023 (Kitty toys for Kitty yoga)
Shelf Adopters (Gr. 7 & up)
4 hours over two months, 10 hrs Community service
Adopt a shelf to display your favorite books on a certain theme in the children’s and teen rooms. Write a little about yourself and why each book was chosen.
