The Library Has a New Catalog!

The system is back up and running! You can sign in here with your library card number and PIN.

Why is the catalog changing?

The catalog is part of a larger online system managed by Westchester Library System and we are moving to a new system. For you, this means a better search experience and more control over your notifications. For us, this means we can customize the system behind the scenes to better fit the needs of our community.

Will I need to get a new library card for the new system?

No, your library card will not change and will work in the new system.

What will happen to my checkouts and holds?

Your checkouts and holds will transfer over to the new system. However, if you kept a history of previously borrowed items or created books lists in the catalog, those will not transfer over. You can opt-in to keep your history when the new catalog goes live and it will start tracking your history again from scratch.

How is the new catalog different?

The catalog will look different, but you still sign in the same way, with your library card number and PIN. Then you can review your account, renew items, and place holds, just like before. You get the added bonus of more control over your account settings (for example, you can be notified by phone, text, and email, instead of just one) and an improved search experience due to the way the system works behind the scenes.

Can I get help using the new catalog?

We will offer demonstrations on how to use the new catalog to get you up to speed quickly so you can start signing in, reviewing your account, and placing holds.
