Performance in Practice

Performance in Practice
Sundays September 27, October 4, 11, 18, November 1, and Saturday October 24 | Richard E. Halperin Memorial Library Building

The Harrison Public Library invites you to join playwright/poet/stage-director James B. Nicola and exercise both your writing and acting skills in Performance in Practice. Participants will be encouraged to develop their own original pieces-stories, poems, short plays, monologues-suitable for sharing with a live audience. Choose your own level of involvement, as writer, performer, or both. Writers may adapt material from others or come up with something entirely new. Performers may perform their own material, or someone else's. Participants who are willing will then get up on their feet to rehearse the polished pieces toward a live performance where we will invite family, friends, and library patrons.

If you've ever thought about taking the plunge into writing, or performing, or both, this is a chance to get more than your toes wet! Space is limited and sign -up is required for this program which take place at 1:30 pm on the following Sundays: Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Nov.1 and Saturday Oct.24 at the Richard E. Halperin Memorial Library Building.
