Japanese Spring Festival - Tea Ceremony

Sunday|May 21, 2017|2:00pm - 3:00pm
Richard E. Halperin Memorial Library Building

Tea is the favorite beverage of the Japanese and an ever-present part of daily life. A cup of tea is always offered to a guest. The formal tea ceremony requires quiet concentration and the strict observance of rules and is filled with spiritual meaning.

During this tea ceremony demonstration, you will be served a cup of green tea and a Japanese sweet. In additon, you can try various types of Japanese tea as well. Please come join us; this is a family-friendly event. Children are welcome!

Sponsored by our Japanese volunteers.
