Welcome to our Children's Rooms
Each branch of the Harrison Public Library has a special area devoted to children. Both Children's Rooms offer a wide assortment of books and audio-visual materials for our youngest patrons, including:
- Board books
- Picture books
- Easy Readers for beginning readers
- Chapter, fiction, and nonfiction books for more advanced readers
- Read-along kits (a book plus a tape or CD)
- Many DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs, and other audio-visual materials for children
- Puzzles and stuffed animals for use in the Library
- Plus, in the Main Library, Playaways (self-playing digital audio books) and a puppet theater where children can create their own shows with hand puppets provided by the Library.
Both Children's Rooms also offer a wide variety of programs for youngsters.
