About the Author
Caroline McKinley
Caroline is a librarian and a lover of all creatures great and small. She and her husband live north of New York City. She started writing short stories while attending Kenyon College. Then, as a working actor for many years, she wrote several screenplays. She enjoys hiking, hanging out with nature, and turning children, young and old, on to a good read. Rescued is her first published novel.
Harrison residents may recognize her as Miss Caroline, Children’s Services Librarian in the Children’s Discovery Center at the Richard E. Halperin Memorial Library Building.
Rescued
When sixteen-year old Casey Riley seeks revenge for her friend and ends up sentenced to community service at the local animal shelter, it appears at first that her summer is ruined. She soon gets caught up in the plight of the animals and comes to realize that they are not the only ones in need of Rescue.
